Ragdoll Colors

A Rainbow of Elegance

Ragdolls come in six foundational colors, each distinguished by the hue at their "points" (ears, face, paws, and tail) and the lighter body tone. These colors provide the base for a wide range of stunning appearances:

  •  Seal – A rich, warm brown that creates a dramatic contrast against a lighter body color.

  • Blue – A soft, bluish-gray that gives a cool, elegant appearance.

  • Chocolate – A lighter, milk-chocolate brown that’s softer than seal.

  • Lilac – A delicate, frosty gray with a pinkish tone, the dilute version of chocolate.

  • Red (Flame) – A vibrant orange-red point color that brings warmth and brightness.

  • Cream – A pale, pastel version of red, giving a soft and dreamy look.

RAGDOLL COAT PATTERNS

Beyond color, Ragdolls are defined by their elegant patterns, each adding unique charm:

  • COLORPOINT – This classic pattern features dark “points” on the ears, face, tail, and feet, with the rest of the body in a lighter, contrasting shade. The nose leather and paw pads match the point color. Colorpoints have no white markings—though the pale body color can sometimes appear almost white on certain cats.

  • MITTED – Mitted Ragdolls share the same dark points and lighter body as Colorpoints, but with additional charming white markings. They have white “mittens” on the front paws, white “boots” on the back legs, a white chin, a white belly stripe, and often a fluffy white ruff around the neck.

  • BI-COLOR – Bi-color Ragdolls have dark points on the ears and tail, but the face mask is interrupted by an inverted white “V” between the eyes, extending over the muzzle. Their body color forms a “saddle” across the back, with the rest of the coat being white. Bi-colors have pink nose leather and paw pads.

  • LYNX – The lynx pattern overlays any Ragdoll color or pattern with tabby-like markings, including the classic “M” on the forehead and faint striping on the legs and tail. Lynx markings are a popular variation on the pointed pattern.
